All roads lead to Baguio this weekend as the picturesque city once again is decked with colorful roses, anthuriums, orchids and other bright blooms in celebration of annual Panagbenga Flower Festival.
While numerous activities have been lined up for the entire month, most of the major events are scheduled for this weekend, including the highly anticipated floral and float parade along Session Road this Sunday. The parade, which usually starts at 8 a.m., has attracted huge crowds form all walks of life every year as private companies amd major corporations try to outdo each other with their larger-than-life floats. The floats never fails to be visual and olfactory as they are decorated with delights as they are decorated with the freshness flowers from thriving cut-flower industry in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Another must-see event is the Street Dancing parade and competitions tomorrow morning. The event, called ” Let a thousand flowers bloom” will feature students of Baguio’s elementary schools, high schools and colleges wearing colorful outfits and native costumes.
