Just one day before the presidential election Barack Obama’s Grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, died at the age of 86. This sad news was relayed by Obama with her sister during his campaign trail in Charlotte, N.C.
“She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances.” the statement state about Dunham.
